For some people, email is a new medium, but the same scams used in other media (including postal mail and faxes) continue to fool people. eWEEK reports that phishing scams are a $3 Billion per year industry, and every possible business model is being exploited.

Most people can identify most scams. However, it's not just someone from Nigeria trying to smuggle money out of the country and needing your help, or someone posing as your bank to get you to reveal passwords and personal information. People who are smarter than you and I have been taken in by some very sophisticated scams. Are you the one in six who will be affected?
