EVS Mail Hosted Service

MERCMAIL Inc. can provide its Email Validation Service as a fully hosted email service for smaller clients who do not have their own email server. Use our Return on Investment Calculator to determine your license investment (just enter "0" for the Average Hourly Wage if you are simply an individual, or cost recovery is not a consideration).

• Your investment for licensing is CAD$50 per year per account, maximum, and discounts kick in with as few as ten accounts.
• MERCMAIL Inc. can host single or multiple accounts, or even your entire domain's email.
• Inboxes are hosted by MERCMAIL Inc. servers.
• You may access your accounts using any of the following methods:
  • POP3
  • POP3S — POP3 over SSL, so it's secure
  • IMAP
  • IMAPS — IMAP over SSL, so it's secure
  • Webmail — via localhost IMAP, so it's secure
• Webmail includes such things as shared calendars, shared folders, and shared to-do lists.
• There is no maximum message size.
• Your total disk quota is 50 Meg per account, and may be increased.
• You may send your email through our servers — Webmail does this by default, and AUTH CRAM-MD5 and AUTH LOGIN methods are supported.
• You may forward your other accounts to your EVS Mail account. However, this practice is not recommended due to inefficiencies. We suggest that you abandon your other accounts completely (after informing correspondents of your address change, and validating them). Your EVS Mail account is the only one you need.

You acknowledge that our services are provided according to licenses purchased, whether on a monthly or yearly basis. Choosing not to use those licenses is not grounds for a refund.

Please send us your name, mailing address, telephone number, current email address, the address name you would like to use at EVS Mail, and a temporary password for that account. Make sure it is typed or very neatly written. Send it all with a cheque or money order for the correct amount, (plus 5% Goods and Services Tax if you are a Canadian citizen or organization) made payable to MERCMAIL Inc. to us at:
