EVS Mail has a lengthy list of useful features that you will want to consider before investing in a spam/virus control solution:

Inexpensive Licensing Rates: EVS Mail wants to deal in volume, and we believe our value is better than anyone else's. Shop around, and then talk with us.
True Licensing: EVS Mail is a licensed service, not a product nor a commodity. As such, your investment includes normal maintenance at no extra cost. If you find a bug, we fix it at our expense. (If you want customization, it can be done at reasonable rates at your expense.) Hosted or gateway services mean you always have the latest and greatest version, without having to worry about upgrading.
Virus Control: EVS Mail includes the Open Source ClamAV product, and can incorporate commercial anti-virus applications. It also provides an optional quarantine feature which can be used as a failsafe. Of course, we always recommend that everyone install an anti-virus program on their computers, as email is not the only source of viruses, worms, and other malware.
Low Bandwidth Requirements: EVS Mail eliminates all the extraneous traffic usually associated with Challenge/Response and Statistical Analysis systems, and the necessity of having to accept all spam for processing, as many products and services impose. We are able to reject over 99.9% of all spam connections without even having to receive the message (varies according to the type of spam being received at the time). This represents much less bandwidth usage than other spam control solutions, or even unprotected email itself.
Compliance Capability: EVS Mail can provide a "tap" capability so that copies of incoming and outgoing email can be sent to a specified account/address. This capability can be used for such things as legal compliance (where email archiving is mandated by law) and security monitoring. It is possible to "tap" anything from a single address (inbound, outbound, or both), to your entire domain. Strict guidelines and safeguards are in place to ensure that this capability is not abused.
Anti-Harvesting: Anti-Harvesting is actually a side effect of the way EVS Mail is designed. Harvesting attempts are normally blocked after the first such connection.
Implementation Options: It is possible to have us host the EVS Mail service for you (at no additional cost for smaller clients), as a complete email service, including POP3, IMAP, POP3S, IMAPS, and WEBMAIL access. Alternatively, you can have us act as your own EVS Mail gateway to your own email server. It could represent a substantial cost savings for us to act as a gateway to your own email server, as there would be no additional hardware or maintenance costs.
Secondary Accounts: Many larger sites and ISPs allow or require email aliases — addresses that deliver mail to the same mailbox as a primary account. EVS Mail allows the administrator to create alias accounts. For example, some companies have several domains, and each person has an account in each domain. When secondary accounts are set up in this way, only the primary account needs to be licensed, while the secondary accounts are free. The secondary accounts have identical configurations to the primary account, including address lists, inbox, forwarding, etc.
No False Positives/Negatives: By definition, email sent through EVS Mail is either validated or not. If it is not validated, it does not reach the user, period. Validated email will always reach the recipient.
End Users can have Ultimate Control: If you no longer want to receive email from a validated sender, you can manually intervene and blacklist the sender. End user maintenance of their account and their lists is handled simply and efficiently through just a few web forms.
Very Low Maintenance — for the Administrator or the End User: EVS Mail has been designed to function reasonably with default settings and with little or no intervention at all, once it is configured. We actually have several testers and clients who are computer illiterate and have done no maintenance whatsoever — and have experienced no spam, either.
Can be Layered: An I.S.P. can still use global blocking of IPs, domains, addresses, etc., should they choose to do so. However, it is not necessarily recommended — EVS Mail can be 100% effective without using additional, ineffective and resource hungry techniques. Also, the end user can utilize additional techniques after downloading their email — we expect that this will not be necessary, except possibly for automatic filing to specific folders.
Feature Control: An I.S.P. may want to alter the availability of certain features. This can be accommodated.
Branding: EVS Mail can accommodate identity customizations. For example, our end user maintenance forms can be wrapped with your own markup.

You Can Arrange For All Business Email To Easily Get Through The Protection: Create exempted aliases, or activate a special mode of checking, and you will never lose a new contact to overactive spam control — and still be 100% spam free.
